Today was a light day. That was fine by us as we all try to figure out each other.

The only trip was to the Yueyang Pavillion to complete the adoption papers. The pavillion is more than 1,000 years old. And we feel that way, too.

Kaylee sleeps in bursts, but it's hard for Cindy and I to get much rest. We gave her our first bath; she was amused. We did it in the sink, though. The bathtub here also appears to be 1000 years old.

We won the admiration of our travel group with the first poopy diaper. Other folks were jealous. Really. For Kaylee, 'twas nothing.

Today's tableside surprise: A turtle that was chopped up but still maintained his complete turtle shape, now swimming in sauce.

Kaylee is pounding the bottle regularly. She eats rice cereal. I, on the other hand, found Pabst in Chinese cans.

Tomorrow, we pick up the babies' passports and head down a grueling road to the Grand Sun City Hotel in Changsha. That will be a relief.

Cindy is doing wonderfully. She guesses right a lot: Diaper? Bottle? Too hot? Right now, she has Kaylee in her lap. Kaylee has on a red gingham two-piece outfit. Cindy is shoveling cereal and catching all the rebounds. They look like they belong together.
